Primarily aimed at lawyers with 0-3 years post-qualification experience lawyers in the area of criminal law, the 5 full day workshops shall cover the entire spectrum of practice of domestic criminaltrial law in India. The sessions will include and overview of criminal trial, Milestones in Criminal Trial&Key Concepts; drafting of criminalcomplaints to set the process of criminal justice system in motion; drafting of criminal writs and quashing of FIRs and charge sheets;leading evidence, including electronic evidence and cross-examination; participating in investigations, charge, post-charge and statement of accused; and final arguments and strategies in criminal trial.Special emphasis will be laid on the practical aspects of criminal trial in the crimes relating to our cyber interactions. Key take-aways from the workshop will be:

Atmabodh, an NGO dedicated to the capacity building of the legal profession, promotion of human rights and conservation of cultural heritage has decided to grant 10 full/ part fee scholarship/ bursary to lawyers under the age of 25 years. The participants will need to register and pay for the conference in the regular manner and can claim re-imbursement after participating on all 5-days of the workshop.
